Personality assessments

The most able employees are not necessarily the most successful.

This could be due to any one of a number of reasons.  Perhaps:

  • the individual is just not interested in the job.

  • they are friendly and people-oriented, and their job does not give them enough people contact.

  • they are laid back, and talk confidently about their plans, but never ‘follow through’ with effective action.

  • they get bogged down in detail.

  • they have no desire or drive to achieve.

  • they are simply unable to cope with the pressure of the role.

Personality and related assessments are designed to give detailed (and benchmarked) information that can be discussed with an individual – they are not intended to be ‘go / no-go’ tools.  They are designed to highlight areas of possible significance that can then be explored in depth at interview.

The assessments can also form the basis of a personal development programme or a training programme.  They can help to promote individual self understanding, and can often be used to pre-empt possible areas of conflict or difficulty.

Morrish Personnel Assessment offers a range of assessments covering, for example, personality, motivation, interest and emotional intelligence and other related aspects.  Our range includes the Saville & Holdsworth (SHL) Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ series) and Cattell 16PF5 – so please contact us for details.
